Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Perry County Criminal History does not retain or create its own log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless a binding legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information is received when a visitor loads a page:
- Page-view dates and times
- Referring website, when one is supplied
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- Device category and operating system

- Internet Protocol address

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Perry County Criminal History does not own, assemble, or sell a database of individual criminal records. Its content identifies request routes for the Perry County Sheriff and Jail, Circuit and District courts, ALEA's Criminal Records Identification Unit, ADOC, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not turned into a file about another person or a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their own privacy notices govern information submitted through those services, including retention and disclosure practices. This policy does not control a partner's processing, so review the provider's terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Perry County offices, Alabama court portals, ALEA, ADOC, the registry, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
An advertising provider may use its own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. It may be available to these limited recipients:
- Outside search providers receiving a submitted query
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for information within this site's control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, however, and the site cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or another breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can differ based on the visitor's location and the law that applies. Alabama's Open Records Act, Ala. Code ยงยง 36-12-40, 36-12-41, and 36-12-45, governs requests for qualifying public writings held by government custodians. Ala. Admin. Code r. 265-X-2-.02 separately governs dissemination of Alabama Criminal History Record Information. Those public-record rules do not turn this private site into an Alabama records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about the visitor
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
